There is something magical about being at the MCG - Melbourne Cricket Ground... its second to the Lord's in London! Not many know that MCG is also home to the Melbourne Football Club (AFL).

AFL or Aussie Footy League refers to a code of rugby played only in Australia and is quite popular in Victoria, not so much elsewhere in Australia. Anyways, the story goes ... a long long long time ago a cricket coach got concerned about cricketers' fitness in winters because they didn't get to play any games... so he and some other visionaries sat down one winter afternoon and invented this game called AFL or Victoria Footy League as it was called in those days. So the cricketers would play cricket in summer and Footy in winters!

So... you learnt something new today :)

It's so beautiful up here - wonder whats it like from the ISS?

Sunset @ 38,000 ft sure looks amazing... I was flying home to India... and got upgraded to business class... and guess what there were hardly any people in the cabin... so could stretch out easily... anyways took out my camera and took some pictures...

I just love the colours in this pic... Sometimes I wonder if we really appreciate what we have on this planet... I mean where else would you be able to see amazing things such as this... does it look as pretty from the International Space Station too? Hello Houston... answer my question please!!!!
